Gab & Nikki

Simply enchanting. These are the first words that pop into my mind when I remember where Patrick and Julien exchanged “I do’s”. One wouldn’t even think it happened in the ruins of an old church.

On the day, when the London-based couple sealed their love with an exchange of vows, Gui-ob Church Ruins in Camiguin transformed into something more than just historic. It was majestic.

Ruined walls—once witnesses to the devastation of Mt. Vulcan’s 1871 eruption—were covered in flowers, turning it into a dreamy wedding hall that had the makings of a fairy tale. The resilience of the old walls coupled with the gentleness of the flowers served as a reminder of Patrick and Julien’s love: firm yet gentle, solid yet soft.

After all, love is both enduring and fleeting: Made to last the test of time, while being made of moments that come and go.
