There is something inherently romantic about destination weddings—and those held on an island set themselves apart (pun intended) from the rest.

Indeed, for Mara and Chandler, getting married along the shores of the island of Pangulasian in El Nido was the perfect send off to their happily ever after.

The bride is a surfer, after all. This time, however, she was that and more, wrapped in the understated beauty of her gown.

The waves crashing onto the shores on that fateful weekend were the constant refrain celebrating their romance, echoed by the cheer of family and friends, some of whom even flew from the US to celebrate with the beautiful couple.

This entire weekend of celebrations made even fuller by people dancing barefoot on the sand and by conversations illumined by the subdued orange hues of the setting sun will ride the waves of Mara and Chandler’s memories forever.
