Anthony & Marta

An Intimate Boracay Wedding

Anthony and Marta Anthony and Marta’s Boracay wedding is the epitome of a beautiful do-it-yourself wedding. The hotel room was empty when we arrived. Upon searching, we found the couple and their guests at the beach side, preparing for the reception set up. I knew I was going to experience something new, something unusual. It made me excited.

At the back of my head, I was quite worried about the time because no one was “getting ready” yet. But then I was amazed by the dedication of the family and friends in helping the couple literally set up EVERYTHING. It was such a priceless experience for me to see how things transpired all throughout the day. And, did I tell you that they hail from Poland and Belgium? Still, they were able to pull off such a beautiful intimate Boracay wedding!

“Go with the flow” was my mantra for that day. I didn’t want to interfere with what’s going to happen next because I knew they had their own way of doing things. Their cocktails and reception party was also a treat for me to shoot. I had the feeling of excitement the entire time. It was such a very personal event that I’m blessed to have been part of.

This wedding was such a great year-ender shoot for me. It made me think at how wedding planning should be done – it should be real, personal and most of all, FUN!
